Technical Writing Services
Electric Butterfly has a long history
of publishing high-quality articles and editorials on software
and web development.
In 1997, Electric Butterfly launched
a "how-to" site called Web Design Secrets, offering free
monthly tutorials for web developers. Attracting
thousands of visitors each month, Web Design Secrets remained
a popular outlet for helpful web design tips and tricks
until its last article was published in late 1998.
Starting in 2002, Electric
Butterfly's CEO, Dave Wooldridge, published
articles in REALbasic Developer magazine
and wrote a regular monthly column in MacTech Magazine.
In 2005, while continuing to run Electric
Butterfly, CEO Dave Wooldridge partnered with acclaimed
Mac author, Dave Mark, to launch a new publishing company
called SpiderWorks, specializing in how-to technology guides
for developers (available online as eBooks and printed softcover editions). In 2008, several SpiderWorks titles were acquired by Apress, and Dave Wooldridge recently finished writing The Business of iPhone App Development for Apress.
